The whole concept of a wedding day can get wrapped up in pomp and circumstance pretty easily, and sometimes we forget the aspect of fun, romance, and adventure. These are three attributes I think Las Vegas has nailed, quite expertly. When people come to Las Vegas for their wedding, I often hear brides and grooms talk about how relaxing the planning has been, how the very act of deciding to get married in Vegas has taken stress off of them, and then I get to see how much fun they get to have with each other, and sometimes with family and friends who’ve travelled with them to celebrate.
Such was the case for Emma and Ashley who’d travelled all the way from the U.K to have their special day in Vegas. I think their day can absolutely be summed up by describing it as, fun, romantic, and adventurous. We began the day with a gorgeous session at the Bellagio, and I think it totally set the tone for how incredible the rest of their day would be. After our amazing photo session on the strip, they tied the knot at Viva Las Vegas which is known for their fun ceremonies, unique, and iconic ceremonies.
The Bellagio
Few casinos are as iconic as the Bellagio. It is instantly recognizable by the world famous fountains out front that run the entire width of the grand hotel itself. If you’re familiar with Vegas at all, you’ll know the Bellagio fountain show is incredible, and one of my favorite attractions in Las Vegas. Of course, they make for some awesome photos as well.
In the daytime, the fountains run every 30 minutes (unless you are unfortunate enough to be in Vegas on a very windy day, then the fountains don’t run at all), and after nightfall (around 7pm) they run every 15 minutes.
The water show is timed to some incredible music, and every show is different.
Surrounding the fountains, the Bellagio has a gorgeous garden, and I love to utilize the greenery for photos, to help give a vibrant, and maybe not so “desert-y” look to photos.
Emma and Ashley chose this location because of how gorgeous it truly is. The Bellagio is a class-act that few can rival!
