Legends Ranch
So I arrive at Legends Ranch for Bridget and Jason’s wedding, and I’m already blown away by all of the amazing little details sprinkled throughout the property. The venue itself is this rustic, retired ranch, full of brightly colored stables, and vintage/rustic fences. In the center is a stone lodge surrounded by trees, a pool, and everything else I just mentioned.
I couldn’t wait for this wedding day to start, it was all just so perfect.
The Wedding Day
I hadn’t had any interaction with Bridget or Jason before the big wedding day. I’d received a phone call a day earlier from their wedding planner, the awesome Archel Rolwing Events, looking for a photographer to step in because Bridget and Jason’s photographer had a family emergency to take care of. (I believe all turned out well with their photographer, which is good because I was praying for her!)
Its a little scary stepping into a wedding where you’ve had no prior involvement. But of course, Bridget, Jason, and all of their friends and family were incredibly friendly.
The Couple
You could tell these two loved each other dearly. Something that is so cool, and that I don’t get to hear very often is how Jason helped to lead Bridget to the Lord. I LOVE details like this! What a neat foundation to start out on.
They are from California, and all of their friends and family came with them to celebrate. They even brought their hometown pastor to officiate.
We had the opportunity before the ceremony to put Bridget and Jason together (with a door between them so they couldn’t see each other), and they spent the moments before their ceremony praying with each other, and making each other laugh. They also had the chance to pray with their pastor beforehand, all without seeing each other. It was awesome!
